Tenant compte du fait que l'Agriculture dans le monde et dans les pays Méditerranéens et le Maroc particulièrement, fait face à beaucoup de contraintes comme la sécheresse et la salinité ainsi qu'à des contraintes biotiques, l'Union internationale de Biochimie et Biologie Moléculaire (IUBMB), en association avec toutes les parties d'organisation et de soutien, a jugé opportun de joindre au Troisième Congès International de Biochimie, une réunion spéciale sur les aspects biochimiques et Moléculaires des Mécanismes de résistance des Plantes aux contraintes biotiques et abiotiques. L'événement a eu lieu du 20 au 25 Avril 2009 à Marrakech, Maroc.

Considering the fact that Agriculture in the world and in the Mediterranean countries and Morocco in particular, is facing many constraints such as drought and salinity (major abiotic stresses) and a lot of biotic stresses, the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB), the Moroccan Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SMBBM), the Federation of African Societies of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (FASBMB) and all other organizing and sponsoring parties, judged it opportune to join a special meeting on the 'Mechanisms of plant resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses' with the Third SMBBM International Congress of Biochemistry and the sixth FASBMB Congress. The scientific event will be held in Marrakech (Morocco) during the period of April 20-25, 2009.
